Meet the Horses

Boe
Boe is born and raised at Skyline. Has genetics go back to the original horses of the first Skyline herd. Though it took Boe longer than normal to decide to quit bucking, he is worth his weight in gold.

Chance
Chance is such a sweet and energetic horse. He is always game to lope or gallop through a mountain meadow.

Sparky
Sparky is a gentle, kind, hardworking horse. He has a great attitude and loves to work. Our favorite thing about Sparky is his love

Sioux
Kameesha named Sioux after the famous Johnny Cash song 'A Boy Name Sue.' Some may say this gave him a complex. Despite his unfortunate name, he is a phenomenal horse; surefooted and spunky.

Chico
Chico has a never-stop attitude. He is sweet, kind, and always willing to work hard. He is named after Chico Hot Springs, located 40 miles from Yellowstone National Park

Cheyenne the Mule (far left)
Cheyenne is the oldest animal at Skyline Guest Ranch. Though she is 33 years old she still has a fire and passion for hard work. We love our sweet old girl!

Pete
Pete is a golden hose in both color and nature. Even though it took him a while to realize the world isn't so scary, he now can carry any rider with confidence.

Crackerjack
Crackerjack is a gentle giant. Despite his big size, his demeanor is kind and sweet. He loves everyone he meets and is loving to humans and animals.

Jimmy
Jimmy is a true mountain horse who knows these mountains better than anyone or anything. No matter the circumstances, rain or shine, he will bring your home safely. Money can't buy a better horse!

J-Lo the Mule
J-Lo is our 'rock climbing' mule from Tennessee. She won't miss a step and will go anywhere she is asked. She rides and packs with effortless precision and grace.
